For more on the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, this editorial opposing it in the Knoxville News Sentinel is worth a read. It makes a nice point about how that newspaper would not be allowed in schools because it runs Doonesbury, which has a gay character. (Not to mention the newspaper said the word “gay!”)

    This is the first I am hearing about this. When I first saw the link to “Don’t say ‘Gay’ Bill,” I thought it was as in don’t say gay when you mean stupid. Should have known better.

    Amanda, you must not live in Tennessee. We Tennesseeans are becoming sadly accustomed to this sort of thing from our insane state legislature.
