This Week’s Cartoon: “Camp Austerity”

I have my hands full with moving-related activities, so I’m afraid additional cartoon commentary will be austere today.

Whoa! What a metaphor for the current politics in Europe. Though we Germans don’t call the building of her residence a “camp” we call it a “washing mashine”. In talking about dealing with money and moving it between the countries (preferrably TO Germany) you might catch another idea of the REAL backgrounds of European politics. Do you think that many US citizens will recognize Angela Merkel in the last caption?
    I like your attitude!

Hmm, I have to say the other kind of “camp” you refer to did not cross my mind as I was drawing this. So I apologize if any readers were offended by that; it was not my intention.

As far as I could tell, a lot of American readers did pick up on the Merkel in the tub. But my readership tends to be pretty well-informed.
