Grocery Shopping 2026



Post-COVID price gouging at the supermarket was one thing, but the rising cost of groceries seems to be wildly out of control now. Not to mention the lack of federal inspections, numerous product recalls, and Trump’s recent announcement that he was importing 660 million pounds of “lean beef trimmings” (cheap frozen scraps) from abroad, most likely from Brazil, according to Fast Food Nation author Eric Schlosser. Unlike other products, no country of origin labeling is required for beef or pork.
