NEW: Patreon memberships also available

I started the Sorensen Subscription Service in 2018 to compensate for the ongoing decline of print newspapers. Since then, I have indeed lost several newspaper clients, but can happily report that subscribers have softened the blow. Slow but steady growth in subscription numbers more or less kept pace with the disappearance of paying publications.

Unfortunately, the pandemic has not been kind to altweeklies, and it has become clear that subscriptions are essential to the cartoon’s survival. To that end, I hope you’ll consider joining the club. Subscribers receive the cartoon via email each week along with extended commentary, personal news, classic cartoons, and occasional process sketches. You’ll also stay in the loop about events, interviews, and any side projects.

The cost is $10/six months or $20/year — only $1.67 per month. There’s also a “high roller” option for those who wish to offer more support. I use Campaignzee (a Mailchimp-integrated service), as I like to keep things simple and independent, and they offer good support. I recently added a Patreon option for those who prefer to use that service.

So sign up today! It’s cheap and easy and will give you a warm, gentle glow of satisfaction.

A NOTE ABOUT RENEWING SUBSCRIPTIONS: If you need to update your credit card info, you can manage your subscription at by typing in the email address you use to receive the cartoon. Alternatively, if you still have the original email from Campaignzee when you signed up for the service, that should contain a link to your subscription management page. Please note subscriptions renew automatically, though you may unsubscribe at any time. If you did not wish to renew, please contact me. If you encounter any technical difficulties, please contact [email protected] (and feel free to contact me as I like to know about any issues).
