Cartoon: A handy comparison of Obamacare vs. Trumpcare

    I’m normally a big fan, but I really dislike this comic. My background: spent three years working for a health insurance company and spent four years living outside the United States (with much more affordable health coverage).

    The ACA isn’t consistent from state to state. In places like Washington, it can help those in really low-income service economy positions who are not absolutely poor (who will always be covered regardless, simply because they have no means to pay). Above the $30k/year mark, its benefit is very questionable, and varies heavily on your state.

      The cartoon doesn’t make the case that the ACA is perfect, just much better than the Republican plan, which is worse for the vast majority of Americans by every conceivable measure.
